Drywall Installer and Finisher

Wage: $28/hour (salary increases as per company policy)

Job requirements:
Language: English
Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience
Own Equipment/Tools: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)), Hand-eye co-ordination, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Manual dexterity, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods

Duties:
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel or broad knife
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place them in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Clean and prepare surfaces
