Our Staff

Aboriginal Futures employs three full-time career development practitioners who can help with career decision making, education and training enhancement and employment preparation.

We are Indigenous owned and operated.

ISET

Indigenous Skills and Employment Training Program

ISET is a contribution agreement between Human Resources Development Canada (HRSDC) and Community Futures Treaty Seven (CFT7). As the ISET holder for Treaty Seven, CFT7 provides employment related programs and services.

The objective of ISET is to increase Indigenous participation in the Canadian labour market, to strengthen and facilitate flexible programming that meets the unique and varied needs of Indigenous people and employers, and to provide employers with skilled workers.

We serve the urban Indigenous population who live in Calgary and the surrounding area and work with individuals who are ready, willing and able.

Our Facilities

Aboriginal Futures offers a computer lab available for use by clients for training, education or employment purposes.

Computers are equipped with internet access and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The computer lab also includes a phone, printer and wireless internet. Staff can also fax documents for individuals.

Job postings, training opportunities and information pamphlets are also available on site.

Got a laptop? We also have wireless internet.
