Indigenous Workplace Wellness Circle


This program is designed to help participants gain confidence, learn essential skills, better their communication skills and set solid career & employment goals.

Participants will build a personal plan to succeed in the workplace, home or school while gaining valuable job search skills and tools needed to apply for work and get employed.

Create a Personal Career Plan

Uncover the essential skills that people need for learning, work and life

Create balance in home and work life through medicine wheel teachings

Gain financial empowerment with a money management certificate through Momentum

Discover and overcome obstacles to successful employment

Understand workplace diversity, culture and etiquette

Strengthen positive and professional communication skills through fun exercises and talking circles

Identify learning styles to enhance personal learning potential

Gain valuable information on employment standards & regulations


Get Employed

Tap into the hidden job market

Create and build relationships with companies and employers

Utilize today's technology to find jobs, apply for jobs and network

Develop confidence when approaching companies, employers and job leads

Learn how to develop a strong resume and cover letter

Prepare for a successful interview


Program Requirements

18 years of age or older

Has been out of the workforce or school for over a year or has trouble retaining employment

Has limited or no work experience

May be a new resident to Calgary

Needs to build confidence and essential skills to succeed in today’s workforce

Is ready, willing, and able to commit and participate fully


Additional Details

18 years of age or older

Bus tickets will be provided to get to and from the program

Lunch or snacks will be provided
