Job Location:  6040 Elbow Drive Southwest, Calgary, Alberta, T2V 1J3, with occasional travel within Calgary and surrounding areas for site reviews (up to Canmore, Banff, Okotoks, etc.)

Wage: $36.00/hour (salary increases per company policy)

Employment terms and conditions: Permanent,  Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday- Friday), overtime and site-dependent hours may occasionally be required for specific projects

Job requirements:

Language: English

Education: Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Landscape Design, or a related field

Experience: 1 year of related experience

Area of work: Landscape architecture and design, Commercial and residential construction

Computer and technology used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, MS Excel, SketchUp, InDesign

Duties:

  • Prepare detailed architectural and landscape technical drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Create three-dimensional 3D models and two-dimensional 2D drawings with computer-aided design
  • Develop construction drawings, design development drawings, and presentation packages
  • Produce graphic and visual documentation using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Review design specifications and ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
  • Write specifications, estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare proposals and tender contracts
  • Coordinate drawing revisions and updates based on internal reviews and client feedback
  • Assist Designers and Landscape Architects in the development of residential and commercial projects
  • Assist in supervising construction projects, monitor and inspect work
  • Maintain organized digital files, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Support project teams with technical drafting and design coordination tasks
  • Supervise architectural technical staff
