What You Will Do:

  • Create, update and maintain hydraulic pipeline models for Enbridge Gas Inc. Examine, design and analyze the effects of system operations on reliability and propose infrastructure solutions, such as reinforcements, where required.
  • Evaluate customer usage patterns, energy transition and energy efficiency assumptions and department design standards to ensure accuracy of the annual simulation and forecast analyses.
  • Analyze and forecast short and long-range transmission system operating and infrastructure requirements under varying conditions and incorporate into the forecast analysis.
  • When required create contingency plans to ensure system reliability and minimize system disruption during integrity work or to support emergency response activities.
  • Work with partners including Distribution Optimization Engineering, Business Development, Gas Control, Capacity Planning, District Operations, Storage and Transmission Operations, Gas Supply and other clients to provide system operational support on a timely basis.
  • At times participate or lead multi-disciplinary project teams to optimize the hydraulic design for large system expansion and/or maintenance projects.

Who You Are:

  • You possess a University Degree in Engineering with P. Eng and 4 years of working experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to think analytically and perform detailed analysis.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time and meet defined timelines.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modelling and associated PC applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
