Evenings & Weekends | Shift-Based Role

Poundmaker’s Lodge Treatment Centres is seeking a reliable and compassionate Program Attendant to support clients during evenings and weekends in our residential treatment environment. This role provides essential after-hours support, helping ensure client safety, program continuity, and a respectful, structured setting.

About the Role

The Program Attendant is a key support position responsible for non-counselling client assistance outside of regular business hours. This role supports daily operations, facilitates scheduled programming, assists with client movement and activities, and helps maintain a safe and organized treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Manage phone systems and direct calls according to procedures

  • Dispense and document medications in accordance with prescriptions and policy

  • Enforce house rules and support program structure

  • Complete accurate documentation, including daily logs, incident, and termination reports

  • Conduct routine room and security checks

  • Transport clients to meetings, ceremonies, and activities using centre vehicles

  • Support intake procedures and orientation for new clients

  • Assist with shift documentation, cash counts, and resource binders

  • Attend mandatory meetings, training sessions, and seminars

Client Support

  • Provide non-counselling support to clients in recovery

  • Maintain clear professional boundaries and ethical conduct

  • Encourage client participation in scheduled programming

  • Support a respectful, structured, and culturally grounded environment

  • Communicate effectively with staff and follow established protocols

  • Assist clients with assigned tasks and recovery-related activities as appropriate

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a supportive or care-based environment is an asset

  • Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Comfort working in a residential treatment setting with high-needs clients

  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to transport clients safely

  • Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct
